It was a great week for Zilla. We received confirmation of his OFA Excellent Hips, clear elbows, heart and eyes. Oh yeah.... he picked up a major as well under respected breeder/ judge Mary Speers at the Working Dog Show!

We had a great time and spent 5 days on the road going to and from Rhode Island. We had fellow breeder Jim Hudspeth judging.

Congrats to the McKibbons and their boy "Cruiser" for winning 1st Award of Merit at 19 months old. The previous 2 weekends out he picked up 3 group placements.
Congrats to the Dieckmans on Winners Bitch with their Max x Roxxy daughter. Well done!
Congrats to the Elands and their boy "Copper" for winning the competitive Open Apricot Dog class. The ever dieting Copper was great entertainment on the road and managed to make sure we were breathing every night at around 3am.

Congrats to the Linfert's and their girl "Ellie" for winning 3rd in the large Bred By Exhibitor class. She also went 3rd at Trenton KC the weekend prior with her regular handler Erin. Ellie has never met a stranger which a testament on how well socialized she is by the Linferts.

It was a good weekend for "Zilla", Caledonia Oh No There Goes Tokyo. He picked up two points on Sunday. Zilla is pictured at 15 months old.

Houston-Reliant Dog Shows

It was a great weekend at the Houston Reliant Dog Shows. Susie came to visit and we had some fun with friends at the cookout at the house. Two different Max daughters picked up 3 majors over the weekend. Cruiser picked up a Winners Dog and two more RWD's over the weekend.

It was the first year for the Texas Working Dog Club. Caledonia Cruisin for a Bruisin, "Cruiser" wins the Sweepstakes under breeder/ judge Diane Collins and takes a Group 4.

Cruiser wins the Lonestar Mastiff Fanciers Sweepstakes. This is my favorite win, under breeder Doris von Koch of Haus Humboldt kennels. Over the years she quietly mentored all the good breeders in Texas. She has always been a source of encouragement and great conversation.

After a month off we made the trip up to Dallas for a big show. Rita picks up two more majors to make a total of 3. On this day she won Best of Winners under this years National Specialty judge Marjorie Martorella.

So its always interesting to see how the puppies turn out and what the owners name them. Here is a collection of pictures we have received from our last litter from Elliott & Roxxy. They have just turned 6 months and some are hitting the show ring while others are waiting to mature a little more. In the end, they are all loved as we were careful that the families they went to would loved them first.

Please note that not all these pictures are from the same age. Some are as current as yesterday and as old as last January.

Cruiser aka Flea

Cruiser doesn't walk around things, he walks through them. At 6 months and the first time in the ring, he won his first point. He has a lot to live up to in size and show wins as he spends his time with housemate Angus. Cruiser's registered name is Caledonia Cruisin for a Bruisin.

Butters aka Enya

We got to visit with the Eland family in Ft Worth and they brought along Butters. She was as pretty as we had expected her to be. Her registered name always makes me laugh, Caledonia Butter My Buns.

Ellie aka Luna

Ellie went to a great family, the Linferts in Ohio. We get videos periodically and have come to enjoy them. Here is a picture of Elli from January. She is registered as Caledonia Treasured Heirloom.

This one is my favorite, .... the little dog that could. She was the one everyone looked past and it almost became a joke. She had a little body, narrow head and always looked weedy. We decided to co-own her with Carla and we named her Caledonia Kick Some Past, "Stefani".

Pauly aka Ozzy

We never had a choice on whether we were going to keep this puppy. While he was the smallest male, he was always the cutest. We named him after our good friend Paul and his name is Caledonia Custom Made.

Mithril aka Alannis

Mithril spends her day keeping the Gray's Andalusian show horses in line in beautiful Montana. Her registered name is Caledonia Isengard Mithril.

Donna aka Madonna

Donna traveled the furthest to get to her new home in France. She will be making her show debut at the World Show this summer. Her registered name is Caledonia Donna for Whititera.

Frankie aka Layla

This is the best picture Sartin family could send me of Frankie. In fact, I was told to update my puppy pictures in order to get some updated pictures from her. It was almost threatening, but that may be the New York coming out. Frankie's registered name is Caledonia It's Up To You NY!

Brooklyn aka JLo

The Sartin family couldn't decide between two puppies so they took both. Heather said it sounded like something I would do. She is right. Brooklyn is registered as Caledonia NY's Charmed & Dangerous. What great names!

Its funny that when we finished Sookie, it happened to be in the same town as where the show was filmed. You'll notice the house from the show's introduction.

Sookie picks up her 2nd major and finishes her championship. That makes the 7th Max kid and 1st Roxxie kid to complete its championship.

We didn't get a good picture of Jonah, but we did get a major. He's on his way!

This is Gus Fife. He went to a fantastic home as a puppy. He finished his championship owner handled. The owners came back and purchased a girl a year later. They also finished her championship owner handled. Their first and only litter went on to finish 5 pups. Pictured is Gus and his kids on his birthday.
